Taskize at Euroclear’s Collateral Conference 2025

Taskize played an integral part in our parent company, Euroclear’s Collateral Conference – the premier event for the collateral management community – at the Square Convention Centre in Brussels.

With the theme “Innovating today, empowering tomorrow: shaping the future of collateral management,” the two-day programme brought together leading voices from across the financial ecosystem to discuss the challenges and opportunities defining the industry’s next chapter.

Collaboration driving progress

The highlight of the event was the update shared by Marije Verhelst, Euroclear’s Head of Product Strategy and Product Development, Collateral Management and Securities Lending.

Marije provided an exciting recap of the past year, the immediate future and the long-term goals for Euroclear’s ambitious programme of client service improvements.

She also highlighted how the Collateral Management Services team at Euroclear Bank is now using Taskize to make query resolution faster and easier to manage, and explained:

"This year, our client service teams started using Taskize to support communication with clients. Real-time interaction is the new standard also in the financing industry.

“By leveraging Taskize functionality, multiple parties can communicate and collaborate on a single shared platform.

“Our aim with Taskize is to significantly reduce the time spent on inquiry management, contract drafting and negotiation.”

As Mike Reece, Managing Director of Euroclear Belgium commented earlier this year, “The key benefit in integrating Taskize with our collateral management workflow is to offer our counterparties a platform through which they can engage with us in a consistent, clear manner that reduces cost, reduces risk and improves client satisfaction across front, middle and back-office teams."

Another key topic at the conference was EasyFocus+, a platform developed jointly by Euroclear, Taskize and Meritsoft (a Cognizant business). Designed to help institutions navigate T+1 with confidence, EasyFocus+ supports improved settlement efficiency over the long term.

Insights from the conference

In his follow-up review of the event, Euroclear’s Miguel Ferreira captured five key messages:

2. Clients want open access, interoperability, and choice
3. Collaboration is key to tackling industry challenges
4. Developing European capital markets requires establishing European safe assets
5. Digitalisation and tokenisation are high on the agenda – now is the time to move to production
